Dasi Jacob, RYT 200
I discovered yoga initially for the physical benefits- the strength, balance, and flexibility were a great counterpart to the weight training and cardio I was doing at the time. Little did I realize at the time how transformative the time on my mat would be on other aspects of my life.
As a cancer survivor and mom of a special needs teenager helps me stay in the present. It keeps depression and anxiety at bay, keeps my body strong, healthy and flexible, and slows down my reactions to the stresses of ordinary living.
My goal as a teacher is to have a warm, welcoming, playful class with varied postures that you can take at your level, with a strong focus on leading with the breath and being fully present. My classes are for everyone, no matter what level you currently are in your practice.
